Hola and Hello!
My name is Jose Gutierrez, and I am the most recent addition to the Grassroots family. As a Housing Counselor I am here to help the Spanish-speaking community of Waco achieve their dream of home ownership. Not only is it an exciting opportunity, but a much-needed focus. As a first generation American, and having grown up in North Waco, I have a passion for seeing the betterment and improvement of our great city. Waco is changing and all for the better and soon, we will be the talk of the I-35 corridor. You can bet on it! Still, we have a lot of valuable work to do, and I am happy to be a part of it. I have been in ministry since I graduated from Bible college in 2009 and currently serve as pastor of Templo Nueva Vida which I help found in 2010. From a shy kid who first learned Spanish, then forgot most of it then relearned it, I now think and dream in Spanish! Helping people is my passion and I know that with Grassroots, there will be many lives of our fellow Wacoans to impact. So, no matter your language, I’m here to serve. Many blessings!
Jose Gutierrez
