Committed to a brighter future for children, neighbors and communities.

We consider a healthy neighborhood to be one that is safe, clean, and diverse; one in which it makes economic sense for people to invest and one where neighbors manage change successfully.

The Best Is Yet To Come!

Over the last 23 years, Grassroots Community Development has seen remarkable growth and
change. We have proudly assisted 441 families in purchasing their homes, built 71 homes,
counseled 2,890 families and remodeled 21 homes. Through these efforts, we have formed
many great relationships within our community.

Our work has been supported by volunteers and individuals from McLennan County, including
those completing community service, who have helped us clean vacant lots and improve our
neighborhoods. Additionally, local support has been invaluable in driving our mission forward.
We have had local Schools, Students, Churches and disaster recovery organizations spend
time in Waco helping families take care of their asset, their home.

From the beginning of July of 2001, we have been committed to a brighter future for our
children, neighbors and communities. We consider a healthy neighborhood to be one that is
safe, clean, and diverse; one in which it makes economic sense for people to invest and one
where neighbors manage to change successfully.

A good neighbor is someone who contributes positively to their community. This includes being
friendly, respectful, and helpful to those living nearby. Good neighbors look out for each other,
maintain their property and engage in community activities. They help create a safe, clean, and
welcoming environment for everyone.

Good neighborhoods promote social cohesion, where residents feel connected and engaged
with their community. This can lead to more collaborative efforts to address local issues and
improve the area.

Just like in baseball, the game isn’t over yet, and there’s still time to make a difference and
achieve your goals. Remember every small action contributes to a bright future. I’m looking
forward to 2025 to be a great year!
