Committed to a brighter future for children, neighbors and communities.

We consider a healthy neighborhood to be one that is safe, clean, and diverse; one in which it makes economic sense for people to invest and one where neighbors manage change successfully.

Thank You, Ivy!

As another academic year ends, we want to celebrate another outstanding social work intern, Ivy! We are grateful for Ivy’s tremendous support and knowledge to the Grassroots team. She was an exceptional intern who was dedicated to the Waco community. We saw Ivy grow in leadership and social work skills throughout the academic year. We greatly benefited from Ivy’s knowledge of data gathering and documenting, leading groups, and dedication to ethical engagement. Some of the projects Ivy dedicated her time towards were Parent University, Parent and Child Time Together, Spring/Fall Into Action, and building a faith-based Grassroots Leadership Training. We were blessed by Ivy’s time and skills, and wish her all the best as she graduates from the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work and continues her social work journey.  Please join us in celebrating her good work. Thank you, Ivy!
