We can’t believe it’s almost time to go back to school! It seems like just yesterday Kendrick Neighborhood Association was hosting Summer Fun Day at Kendrick Park.
It was a blast being able to participate in this event alongside the neighborhood association. Hosted on June 1st, Summer Fun Day was a great way to celebrate the beginning of summer and for neighborhood children to have a fun event to enjoy their time off from school.
There was so much to do – playing on the playground, jumping around in the splash pad, a soda bottle ring toss, and a face painting station by Hiz Houze. There was also an opportunity to visit vendors such as the Advocacy Center for free community resources. As community members were jamming out to the music from the DJ, there was also a raffle sponsored by the neighborhood association. Additionally, there was free food, such as nachos, snow cones, popcorn, and more!
The heat did not stop anyone from having fun! Kendrick’s Summer Fun Day provided a great space for families to gather and enjoy an evening in community.
