While roof repair is something a home needs to keep the rest of the house in working order, we occasionally run across a client that has multiple needs that not any one organization can handle. When this happens, we partner with other organizations and non-profits to try and remedy the issues the homeowner is facing. There is no reason to put a roof on a house that needs to be leveled, has broken windows, and doesn’t have adequate electricity to power the home.
One of the organizations we refer clients to is the City of Waco Rehabilitation Program. Through this program, applicants who qualify may be eligible for assistance up to $50,000 to have repairs completed on their home. Repairs include: electrical, heating and air conditioning, roofs, foundations, plumbing, drywall, handicap accessibility, and lead base paint abatement.
Another non-profit we refer our clients to is EOAC. They have a special program for Weatherization that helps to address air that is coming into the home from the outside. EOAC can address issues like: window repair, door repair, hole patches, attic insulation, and heater and air conditioner repair. Weatherization strives to assist with maintaining a more comfortable temperature in the home and to save money on energy costs.
Here at Grassroots, we strive to meet our clients needs as best as we can while also knowing homeowners face all sorts of maintenance issues. Through collaboration, we are able to serve more homeowners and meet needs that would otherwise not be met.
