If you’ve been following our recent Instagram videos, you’ve probably noticed something exciting happening behind the fences at Renaissance at Sanger Heights.
For a long time, this site looked like little more than an empty piece of land. Unless you knew its history, it was easy to drive by without giving it a second thought.
Today, that story is changing.
Over the past several weeks, we’ve watched the vision begin to take shape. The old school foundation has been removed, the site has been regraded, new driveways are emerging, sidewalks have been poured, and the underground infrastructure that every future neighborhood depends on is being installed.
It may not look like much yet, but these are some of the most important steps in creating a neighborhood that will serve families for generations.
One of my favorite parts of this project is that what you see today represents years of work that most people never saw.
Before the first piece of equipment ever arrived, there were countless community meetings where neighbors shared their
hopes for this property. There were architects turning ideas into drawings, engineers solving complex challenges, City staff helping move the project forward, and partners working together to make affordable homeownershippossible.
Now we’re finally reaching the stage where everyone can begin to see the vision becoming reality.
Over the coming months, you’ll watch driveways become homesites. Homesites will become houses. And houses will become something far more important—places where children will grow up, neighbors will gather, and families will begin building equity, stability, and a future of their own.
That’s what Renaissance has always been about.
