“I Have a Question.”
Sometimes we stay silent and don’t ask the questions that are on our minds. Maybe we’re unsure of the answer, worried about what we might hear, or simply don’t know where to start. But when we ask questions, we open the door to possibilities.
That’s how one family’s dream of homeownership became a reality: by asking a question.
Their question was simple: “Can we buy a home?”
Once they asked, we went to work to help them find the answer.
Together, we reviewed their financial situation, explored available programs, discussed different loan options, and identified the steps needed to prepare for homeownership. Through counseling, education, and one-on-one guidance, we helped them understand what was possible and created a plan to move forward.
And guess what? They could buy—and they did buy.
As they completed the process and prepared to close on their new home, they had one final question:
“Can we visit your office? We have a thank you for you.”
That thank you came in the form of a pineapple upside-down cake—a sweet reminder of why we do this work.
With keys in hand and a new chapter ahead of them, they left as homeowners: excited, confident, and ready for the future.
It was a good day.
At Grassroots, housing counseling is about more than paperwork and loan applications. We help families find answers they may not get anywhere else. We sit down together, review their unique circumstances, explore available options, and help them understand the path that best supports their goals.
Whether you’re ready to buy now, need time to improve your finances, or simply want to understand your options, it all starts with a question.
Thinking about buying a home?
Ask the question. We’re here to help find the answer.
