Committed to a brighter future for children, neighbors and communities.

We consider a healthy neighborhood to be one that is safe, clean, and diverse; one in which it makes economic sense for people to invest and one where neighbors manage change successfully.

City Support for Business Owners

Beautification Grant 2026 Grassroots meeting

When we work to support one another, we all thrive together.

This is the sentiment that business owners across Waco felt as they received news that the City of Waco was once again opening their Beautification Grant in January 2026. We were able to partner with a business owner during the previous grant cycle in 2025. We had the opportunity to support Spanish-speaking business owners through the application and award process.

Early in the 2026 grant cycle, the City of Waco’s beautification arts and culture staff reached out to us with help connecting with the Spanish-speaking business owners in the assigned corridors. We got to connect with business owners in the La Salle, 18th/19th, 25th, and Waco Drive corridors. Throughout the entire process, the City of Waco’s beautification arts and culture staff have been a huge support and advocate for the business owners. We had the privilege of working with more business owners during this grant cycle, and we invite everyone including city staff to join an information session. We had 30 business owners join us from these corridors and we all learned such valuable information about the grant in both English and Spanish. We got to work with several business owners through the design phase and application process.

The City of Waco approved 5 grants for this cycle and two of them were for primarily Spanish-speaking business owners. These grants are going to provide valuable support to business owners in the City of Waco to beautify their businesses. We are honored to have been able to partner with the city to provide valuable language access to business owners and look forward to ways in which we can continue to support business owners. We are grateful for the access the city provides and are eager to see how the city continues to expand access for all!
