2023 – What a great year. Here is a very quick review of everything that happened.
Our Community Organizers have been very busy this year.
- Three different neighborhood association started up
- Three property tax workshops
- Helped local businesses apply to the We All Win program.
- Gardening classes led by community members
- We helped community members gain knowledge on the local services that help keep our communities safe.
- Grassroots Leadership Training with students and neighborhood groups.
- At 7 different schools, we continued to provide parental engagement opportunities and bringing local experts to help train our parents to be more successful.
Our housing counseling efforts continued to serve 400 families with them learning how to become successful homeowners. The highlight of the year was partnering with LaPuerta to offer a financial literacy class in Spanish.
Our roof program set a new record of serving 28 families with new roofs using multiple different sources of funding.
We built two new homes in North Waco.
Finally, we are excited to see infrastructure work started on the roads around our Renaissance at Sanger Heights pocket neighborhood development.
